Extremists issue threats to PIA offices in India


MUMBAI/NEW DELHI: Offices of Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) located in Mumbai and New Delhi have been threatened by Indian extremist groups. Following the threats, Pakistan has requested India to ensure security and safety of PIA offices. On August 7, the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi was attacked by supporters of the Congress Party’s Youth Wing, while the Lahore Bound friendship bus was stopped in Amritsar by protesters in Amritsar on August 10.
