Imran says will block Nato supplies to record protest

NOWSHERA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan on Sunday criticized the United States for sabotaging Pakistan’s peace talks with militants when Washington itself was seeking to engage the Taliban in talks in Afghanistan.

Speaking to media, the cricketer-turned politician said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government didn’t want war with the West by blocking Nato supplies instead it only wanted to record protest.

He said that thousands of people had taken to streets in UK to protest war against Iraq. Khan said that those who were criticizing him was receiving money from the foreign countries. He also claimed that a “do-more” US lobby was working in Pakistan.

The PTI chief said it was the first time that any political government was going to hold talks with the Taliban as previously only the army did so in the past. He said that Nawaz Sharif should spearhead peace process, adding that the prime minister should spend his time in the country.

“Nawaz Sharif tell how much foreign investment came to Pakistan due to his visits,” he said. Khan vowed to hold those KP minister accountable who were involved in corruption.
