News of royal Christening breaks around the world

It may have been a family affair. But Prince George's christening at St James's Palace in London still made headlines and bulletins round the world.

EMILIA ADAMS, NINE NETWORK NEWS READER SAYING:

"It was a low-key affair for the future King of England as the newest royal was Christened in London overnight."

PRESENTER, ALEXANDER SIEMON, SAYING:

"It is rather unlikely that something remains private if you're born into the Windsor family. The interest of the British people in their royal family is just too big."

Only senior royals and four members of the Middleton family attended the private service in the Chapel Royal. Prince George, who was born on 22nd July had seven godparents among the 22 guests.

After the service, the duchess carried her newly christened son out of the chapel. The guests then left for tea hosted by the Prince of Wales at Clarence House.
