Need to unite political forces to fight terrorism: interior minister

QUETTA: Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Sunday there was a need to unite all political forces to fight terrorism. Speaking to the media after meeting Chief Minister Balochistan Abdul Malik Baloch, Nisar said the war against terrorism was imposed on Pakistan, adding that the war was now for the country’s survival. “It has been 13 years since the war began which was imposed on Pakistan. For the last 13 years the situation has worsened in the country. The entire nation and political forces will need to unite to eliminate this menace.” Nisar added that no one in the past had mentioned the security policy. “I am astonished at the past governments which are saying that a security policy has not been introduced yet.” The interior minister sought patience in formulating a security policy, stating that 13 years of mistakes could not be rectified in one day. According to the interior minister, the army was willing to train Balochistan police on war footing.
