KARACHI: Panic gripped the metropolis on Tuesday night as four blasts outside wine shops were reported in the city. Three blasts took place in the Defence area and the fourth in Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The blasts in Defence took place on Khayaban-e-Muslim, Khayaban-e-Rahat and Seaview. SP Clifton, Sarfaraz Nawaz said that a young man, who had parked a motorcycle near the site of the blast on Khayaban-e-Muslim, was taken into custody. The second explosion took place shortly after the first near the DHA College for Women on Khayaban-e-Rahat. The third explosion took place in the Moti Mahil area of Gulshan-e-Iqbal. The fourth explosion was reported in the Seaview area of Defence. According to police, the low intensity timed device blasts took place outside closed wine shops and no loss of life was reported. All four shops belonged to the same owner.
