KARACHI: A bomb exploded near vehicle of Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Javed Nagori here in the wee hours of Wednesday, killing at least seven people and injuring 27 others. The bomb exploded after a football match which was played at Baznijo Chowk in Lyari. Talking to Geo news, SSP City Tariq Dharejo said that the bomb was planted on a motorcycle which was detonated through remote control. He said that the motorcycle which was used for the explosion was stolen from the Firozabad area. The police official further said that five to six kilograms of explosive material was used in the blast. Dharejo said that the target of the blasts were participants of a football match and provincial minister for Katchi Abadis Javed Nagori. Fortunately, the minister remained unharmed but his vehicle was damaged. Meanwhile, Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad taking notice of the incident directed IG Sindh to submit the report of the incident in 24 hours.
